Guide to 2021 Box Office Opening

Date: Tuesday, January 19, 2021

The shell is opening on the Pearl Jubilee of the Newport International Polo Series, as we prepare to welcome fans to the 30th season of competition.  After successfully rolling out a Covid-safe 2020 season, we are preparing lustrous plans to celebrate this milestone year.

The 2021 Season Schedule and match details are available now on the Events/Tickets page and you may download a printable schedule here.

The Box Office will open to the public on Monday, February 1st.  Web traffic on opening day will be managed, including a virtual Waiting Room que for site visitors above a specified limit, to ensure optimum speed and experience.  The Waiting Room will show your position in line and can save your place, and send you a notification when it is your turn to shop.  Shoppers inside the site will be able to navigate through all of the events to add as many tickets as they wish to their ticket basket.  Upon checkout, shoppers will be directed off the site, allowing the next customer to enter.  Normal browsing & shopping without waiting room limits will resume on February 2.

Shopping Tips:

  • If you have your web browser open to the Waiting Room to enter the site, do not let your device go to sleep, unless you have signed up to receive an alert when it is your time to shop.
  • Do not checkout until you have added all the tickets you intend to buy to your Ticket Basket.  Once checked out, you will be moved to the back of the queue to re-enter the site.
  • We recommend that you browse the site one page at a time, and not try to open multiple pages.
  • Do not use the Back Arrow in your web browser when navigating the site. To continue shopping from the Ticket Basket page, use the blue "Back" button which is built into the page to return to the same match, or click the Events/Tickets link in the main navigation bar to move on to another match.
  • As soon as you complete a purchase, you will land on the Ticket Dashboard (showing all the items in this transaction; Note: tickets from multiple transactions do not accumulate in one dashboard). When you reach the ticket dashboard, we strongly recommend that you bookmark the dashboard page in your web browser or save the URL to your device for later access.

On Sale: Tailgates, Chalets, Tables in the Pavilion, and Lawn Tickets for associated Tailgate and Chalet reservations.  We are awaiting additional guidance from the State before offering additional Lawn seating options.  Stay informed - subscribe to receive our monthly eMagazine by email.

Tailgates and Chalets on the following dates have sold out during Priority Access: July 24, USA vs. Ireland; Aug. 21, USA vs. Jamaica; Sept. 4, USA vs. England

Since Tailgates & Chalets are located along the perimeter of the polo field, they are a limited option exceeded by high demand.  If Tailgates and Chalets have sold out for a date that you wish to attend, consider an alternate date, or other seating options including Pavilion Tables - while available - which provide optimum centerfield viewing & beverage service to enjoy the match.  Lastly, an automated Wait List sends email notification when sold out seating becomes available.

Ticket Policies have been updated for the 2021 season.  We recommend reviewing our Terms & Conditions in advance; agreement to the Terms & Conditions is required at checkout.

We have a reasonable expectation that the progress underway to end the pandemic will result in the return to regular seating configurations at the polo venue when the Polo Series begins in June.  However, Newport Polo may be required to make adjustments to reservations, as necessary, including for compliance to safety mandates which may affect its regular venue layout and seating, including but not limited to location, spacing, and occupancy. Should such mandates go into effect, reservations will mirror venue adjustments to the extent possible.  Safety mandates do not waive refund policies.

Our traditional 7-day advanced request for refunds remains in effect; each eligible refund incurs a $15 processing fee.  Ticket Insurance is available at the time of ticket purchase; if the Rain Policy goes into effect and a match is postponed or canceled due to weather/field conditions, we do not provide exchanges, and refunds in such conditions are only offered with ticket insurance.

It has been our honor to share 30 years of polo in its American Birthplace, welcoming participants from around the world.  We look forward to continuing the legacy of America's First Polo Club into the future as a favorite summertime tradition for spectators and players alike.  Mark your calendars for Opening Day, Saturday, June 5th, and subscribe to our eMagazine to receive the latest updates delivered to your inbox.
