The team will tour the renowned Newport Mansions which include the estates throughout Newport County that used to be owned by some of the wealthiest families of their time, including The Breakers, The Elms, Rosecliff, and the location of the Newport Polo Club's annual charity gala this year, Marble House! You can explore these mansions through audio and special behind the scenes guided tours.
On Friday the New Zealand team will tour the sights like beautiful Ocean Drive via Scooter World. Bikes, scooters, scoot coupes, and the sporty Polaris Slingshot are all available for fun ways to see the sights of Newport unlike any other. Then, the team will venture on to the iconic Clarke Cooke House, located on Bannister’s Wharf. Renowned for its innovative cuisine, Clarke Cooke House is legendary as the heartbeat of Newport, RI, an unparalleled, quintessential Newport experience. Fine dining, summer sushi, and discotheque all under one roof make this the perfect destination.
Before the match on Saturday, the team will be on the water paddleboarding with Island Surf and Sport, New England’s largest surf shop. Visit the store for surfing goods, as well as rentals and lessons.
After the match, the players will enjoy a hearty feast of slow-roasted lamb, a New Zealand staple, and then dancing at the Patio Bar. The sojourn will end with Rockstar Limo chauffeured party transportation to Waterfire, to tour the award-winning experience art installation on the Providence River with Providence River Boat Tours.
