Regional Win Scores NBC Airtime for Newport Girls Team

Sports reporter Joe Kayata of NBC 10 reported live from Newport Polo's training facility in Portsmouth on Wed, Feb. 15th to cover the breaking news of the first RI interscholastic team in history to advance to the National Interscholastic Championship Tournament next month.

The Newport Girls Interscholastic team, including Abby Mackenzie at #1, Jenna Davis at #2 and Minnie Keating at #3, won the regional tournament last weekend, defeating Cedar Valley of Canada, then Western NY in the final round to advance to the US Polo Association's National Tournament and play against the best 8 teams in the nation on March 1-4 at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville.
