Lessons

With a reputed polo training program of more than 20 years, the Newport Polo Club has taught hundreds of students ranging in age from teens to seventy years old, with skills from beginner to intermediate.  Testaments to the success of the club's lesson program are recipients of college scholarships and national intercollegiate championships, and other alums that have gone on to play in some of the most prestigious polo events around the world and as well as here at home in the Newport International Polo Series.

The instructors cater to the broad range of students' abilities and ensure that everyone receives individual attention through private lessons or group lessons that are kept small enough to ensure individual attention yet allow one to learn from fellow students and exercise skills in scrimmages.

The variety of options for training include a regulation outdoor arena for use in fall and spring, and outdoor training fields in the summer.  Winter lessons may take place indoors, subject to availability.  Horses are of the finest thoroughbred caliber & training, and professional grade polo equipment is provided.

The Newport Polo Club’s membership today is made up mostly of players who got their start through the training program’s weekly group lessons. We encourage you to contact the Newport Polo Club for further information.
