Après Polo Series

Uniquely special Après Polo events are planned all summer to break bread with the teams after their matches!  Regale in international polo camaraderie, music and culturally inspired cuisine by popular chefs, following each international match.  You won't want to miss a single one!  These events require advanced reservation, for planning purposes, required by our caterers.  Served fieldside in the Pavilion. A fraternal tradition with the teams after a hard fought match.  Cash bar.

Fiesta Con Mucho Gaucho:  Saturday, June 1, at the Polo Pavilion following USA vs. Chile 

Chile's vibrant culinary culture comes to life in this Après Polo fiesta.  Join the party with the teams following USA vs. Chile, featuring mouthwatering South American dishes.  Paired with its acclaimed Chilean wines at the Pavilion's Twisted Pony Bar and lively rhythms to dance into the night.

Catered by the renown chefs of Los Andes restaurent.  Menu and RSVP

Laird's Supper: Saturday, June 15 at the Polo Pavilion following USA vs. Scotland 

Legend has it, that the Scotts' guerilla tactics in defeating the English at Falkirk Plain were encouraged by their ability to sustain their defiance with fraternity. More and more of William Wallace’s followers joined the cause, including Welsh archers and Highlanders with their oaken casks of whiskey to share a dram with their partners at arms, to bolster their spirits, whilst their English foes faltered, weary from hunger, forever changing the course of history.  Traditional Caledonian fare has remained time-honored staples of Scottish kitchens & pubs to this day.

Irish American BBQ:  Saturday, July 6  at the Polo Pavilion following USA vs. Ireland

The Independence weekend finale will pull out all the stops with an Irish American BBQ to suit the occasion. By none other than Irishman Pádraic Keane, Pitmaster of Boru Barbecue & Catering, who will kill the fatted calf for his kinsmen with a Surf & Turf welcome.

Amici Riuniti:  Saturday, July 20  at the Polo Pavilion following USA vs. Italy

Tuto finisce a tarallucci e vino - No matter what happens [on the field], it all ends with biscuits and wine!  Enjoy this gourmet finale for a spectacular celebration under the stars, aprés polo with the teams.

New England Lobsterbake:  Saturday, August 3 at the Polo Pavilion following USA vs. South Africa

A traditional New England Lobsterbake will round out the gala weekend at the conclusion of USA vs. South Africa.  The freshest local seafood & produce will be cooked to perfection field-side by 4th generation masters of the bake over hot coals under a bed of fresh, local seaweed.  This tasty and fun annual Polo Series tradition sells out each year and is not to be missed.

Jamaican Jerk Grill:  Saturday, August 17

Jerk shares the popularity of one of our fan's favorite teams, known for their horsemanship and exciting play.   Join us for a cultural dining experience and party with the teams after the match.

Sailor's Delight:  Saturday, August 31

 A sumptuous Lobsterboil & Shellfish Dinner following the match featuring USA vs. England on August 31st, to enjoy the fruits of the sea.  The freshest local seafood & produce will be cooked to perfection field-side.  This tasty and fun opportunity to dine with the teams is not to be missed.

Asado Lamb Roast:  Saturday, September 14

Join the teams following USA vs. New Zealand for an Argentine Asado, served-field side.  Lamb is a New Zealand staple and it reaches perfection slow roasted over hot coals, basted with chimichurri sauce in the Argentine tradition that has become a part of international polo culture, and a highly anticipated tradition at Newport Polo.
